Recycling wood for your garden
The need to recycle more and more everyday products has moved into areas such as wood where it is actually very easy to recycle but few people seem to take the time to consider and think things through. Recycling wood for use in your garden comes in many shapes and forms with the most prominent probably being the mulch which is produced using very small elements of shredded wood which can be added to various surfaces to protect plants from the elements or improve and change the look of your garden features.
There are many different types of garden mulch which include grass clippings, leaves, hay, straw, sawdust, shells, newspaper, rubber, plastics and everything else you can think of in the recycling sector!
To those who have not yet used mulch, it can offer a very interesting and very effective cover for plants which will in due course push through this light covering and bloom at various times of the year. It is also interesting to see that many gardeners have taken on different colours and different textures of mulch to not only protect various surfaces could also add to the colour and overall look of their garden. As with any recycling product, the more imaginative you are the more uses you will find!
