Recycling your waste glass
Glass bottles, glass window panes and glass drinking implements are thrown away each and every year in their millions. However, the last few years has seen the introduction of literally thousands of glass bottle banks around the UK with companies such as Tesco very keen to do their bit for the environment.
As the local authorities also look to increase our recycle rates there are many who believe fines would be introduced in due course for those households in the UK who do not recycle a certain percentage of their waste. Recycling your glass is as simple as going to the supermarket, stopping off at the recycle bottle bank and then continuing on to the store to do your shopping.
All glass can be recycled whether it is clear or coloured as the impurities are separated when it is reheated and blown into new recycled glass bottles. Are you doing your bit for the environment?
