Scrap recycling is very easy and very helpful
Scrap recycling takes in many different forms including scrap metal recycling, scrap food recycling, scrap paper recycling and basically anything which you are looking to throw away. Scrap metal can obviously be recycled for future use, scrap food can be recycled as compost for your garden and scrap paper can also be recycled as paper pulp which as we have mentioned before can save up to 75% of the energy used to make paper from natural materials.
Many people throw away literally tons and tons of rubbish which can be recycled but because of a lack of information, lack of facilities or lack of time we see substantial scrap waste placed in landfill sites. While there are many landfill sites across the UK they are becoming fuller and fuller and with more and more waste refusing to decompose, such as glass, it is only a matter of time before we run out of landfill space to dispose of our waste.
Whether governments around the world have left their recycling programs to late to make a significant difference to the future is debatable but one thing is sure, more and more waste will need to be recycled in order to save the environment and reduce the impact that waste pollution is having on the land.
