What can be recycled?
The question of what can be recycled is being asked more and more up and down the UK and around the world. If there’s one thing which the recycling trend has brought to the UK it is the curiosity from both consumers and business people as to what can be recycled in the UK, what should be recycled and what will be recycled in the future.
Business recycling, home recycling, garden recycling and general waste recycling are just a small number of areas which have attracted particular interest and have shown particular growth over the last few years. Local councils in the UK have been forced by EU regulations and UK government guidelines to increase their recycling rates which have seen a whole host of new recycling sites and recycling services opened across the country.
Slowly but surely more and more people are now separating their waste when visiting their local recycling depot and the vast majority of UK homes now have a variety of different bins for different products which can and cannot be recycled. It will be interesting to see how this particular sector develops because initially only a handful of businesses had shown significant interest in recycling but this has mushroomed over the last few years and created a massive business opportunity.
